Lucknnow: Skilled youth have immense possibilities in every field. Skilled youth can provide employment to others by starting self-employment through their skills. Youth need to update their skills according to the changing environment, so that their skills can get proper recognition. The above was said by the  Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Vocational Education, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Kapil Dev Agarwal.

The Skill Development Minister  inaugurated the program organized at Uttar Pradesh Skill Development Mission Lucknow on the occasion of World Youth Skills Day by lighting a lamp. The Skill Development Minister congratulated the youth on World Youth Skills Day and said that special emphasis is being laid on skill training to provide efficient youth in relation to the various employment opportunities generated as a result of important schemes being run by the state government under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

He informed the youth about the jobs available in the field of sugarcane production due to being an agriculture-based state and the huge demand in the market for experts of foreign languages ​​as translators and interpreters. He also appealed to the youth to do whatever work they do with full dedication so that they can achieve high economic achievements in their lives.

He said that the Yogi government is conducting various types of courses to make the youth skilled. Take admission in these courses according to your interest and work to hone your skills. Work is being done to make the youth skilled, improve the skills of the youth and upgrade the skills of the youth.

ITOT, ITI trainees who performed excellently in skill competitions and other important examinations were also rewarded by the Skill Development Minister. On this occasion, the Skill Development Minister along with other guests present and the officials of the Mission also planted saplings in the Mission campus.

Principal Secretary M. Devraj said that the state government is working to connect the youth with employment along with education. For this purpose, skill-based training is also being provided to the children along with education. He asked the youth to give place to skill-based courses in their education. Employment and self-employment opportunities can be obtained by the certificate obtained by doing skill based course. Giving examples of special schemes currently being run by the department, the youth present were motivated to acquire skills and learn foreign languages.

Vice Chancellor of AKTU, Prof. J.P. Pandey, who is cooperating with the Mission in various special projects, said that the role of skill development is most important in the innovative efforts being made to become a 5 trillion economy at the national level. He also expressed happiness over becoming the assessment agency and awarding body of the Mission and expressed the possibility of removing the obstacles in evaluation.

Director of Regional Centre of Central English and Foreign Languages ​​University, Rajneesh Arora, while explaining the utility and importance of foreign languages ​​in the current scenario, motivated the youth to get training in various foreign languages ​​through the Mission so that they can be able to get employment abroad as well.

Prof. Dilip Kumar, the leading scientist from Indian Sugarcane Research Institute highlighted the possibility of skills in various industries related to sugarcane production and informed how the institute will help in making people self-reliant by training them in sugarcane related skills.

In the welcome address, Mission Director Abhishek Singh presented a brief description of the need for skill development and the work being done by the Mission. The program was conducted and vote of thanks was given by Additional Mission Director Priya Singh. On this occasion, other officers and employees of Mission, ITOT, SCVT and trainees and students were also present.
